FAQ

  • What configuration is the vehicle?
The Campervan is set out with 3 front seats and two rear seats whilst driving. When you arrive at your destination the passenger bench seat swivels round to create a spacious social space. When your ready to get some sleep after an adventurous day the two rear seats convert into a double bed with the second sleeping space in the compartment within the pop top roof.
  • Do i need a special license to drive the Campervan?
You can drive our Campervans on a normal full UK car license, although experience is not needed we suggest people with experience do the driving and let everyone else enjoy the ride. You must be aged between 23-75 to drive our vehicles. You must have a minimum of 2yrs driving experience. Each driver must produce their driving licence on collection of the vehicle. Details of any endorsements/penalty points for driver are now kept online and not on the driving licence or paper counterpart. Each driver will need to generate a licence check code from the DVLA for us to then use to conduct the necessary check. This code is only valid for 21 days. Over 6 points or recent endorsements may cause a higher excess or refusal of hire from ourselves.
  • Do i need to get my own insurance?
Insurance is provided by us and included in your hire charge. We also provide UK breakdown cover. In the unfortunate event of a mechanical issue we will ensure the disruption is kept to a minimum.
  • What if i cause damage or lose something?
We want people to enjoy their holiday but also remember to treat our campervans kindly and with respect. You will be charged for any damage to the vehicles interior, exterior, or its contents, or loss of vehicle contents. We will ensure the vehicle condition and contents are checked before departure and again on its return. Before moving off, please ensure all items within the Campervan are secured and the Pop top roof is down and secured. Ensure the gas is turned off and the power lead is unplugged and stowed away. When reversing we suggest you ask another passenger to guide you from the outside of the vehicle. The roll out awning offers sun protection only, so always roll it up in case of rain, wind or snow. Never leave the awning out at night or whilst you’re away from the vehicle. In the event of any damage occurring to any part of the vehicle please inform JJM Camper Hire Ltd immediately.
